Who We Are
Movimento Metropolitano is not a traditional organisation. It does not exist to sell products or promote a single platform. It exists to reshape how food is understood, valued, and integrated into everyday life.
Not a Brand
MoM is not built around visibility or positioning.
It is built around ideas, relationships, and long-term impact.

A Framework
It operates as a flexible framework that can adapt across geographies, cultures, and formats while maintaining a clear and consistent philosophy.
A Movement
At its core, MoM is a movement ---- one that connects people, places and systems through a shared belief: food is a fundamental human right.

our Vision
Food systems today are often fragmented, inefficient, and disconnected from the communities they are meant to serve. At the same time, cities are facing increasing challenges related to social cohesion, economic inequality, and environmental sustainability.

We believe that these challenges are deeply interconnected — and that food can play a central role in addressing them.

Our vision is to create integrated systems where access to nutritious, affordable food is universal, where producers are supported and valued, and where urban spaces are designed to foster interaction, inclusion, and cultural exchange.
This vision goes beyond the creation of individual venues or projects. It is about building a framework that can be replicated, adapted, and scaled across different contexts, while remaining sensitive to local identities and needs.
At Movimento Metropolitano, we are building a global platform where food becomes a driver of regeneration, cultural exchange, and inclusive growth — bridging the gap between ethics and economic sustainability.

"MoM connects the dots between food, health and community."
Andrea Rasca, Founder
Our six pillars

Food is treated not as a luxury or lifestyle product, but as a matter of dignity and justice. This principle shapes the design of every initiative, ensuring that access is genuine and inclusive. Affordability is not an afterthought — it is a structural requirement embedded into pricing models, partnerships, and sourcing strategies.

Food is understood as the oldest and most powerful form of social infrastructure. MoM creates spaces and experiences that prioritise human connection — places where people gather, interact, and build relationships. These are not transactional environments, but places of belonging.

Food is used as a platform for education. Every interaction becomes an opportunity to understand origins, processes, cultures, and systems. From culinary training to youth programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives, education is embedded into the ecosystem rather than treated as a separate function.

MoM approaches urban development through the lens of regeneration. It focuses on transforming underused or disconnected spaces into vibrant community hubs. This is not incidental — urban regeneration is the primary objective, with food acting as the catalyst.

Sustainability is not treated as a reporting framework or marketing tool. It is a decision-making lens applied at every level, from supply chains and materials to waste systems and operations. The approach prioritises local sourcing, transparency, and circularity.

MoM creates environments where local heritage and global perspectives meet in meaningful ways. Cultural exchange is not superficial or curated — it is designed to be authentic, reciprocal, and generative, creating value for all participants.
The invitation
Movimento Metropolitano is not merely a company seeking partners.
It is a movement seeking allies, organisations, investors, cities, and communities that share the conviction that food can be the catalyst for a more just, more sustainable, and more connected world.
We have spent ten years proving that this conviction is not naïve.
The markets we have built, the communities we have transformed, the businesses we have incubated, the children we have fed, the producers we have supported, these are not aspirations. They are a track record.
We are now entering a phase of deliberate, disciplined global expansion, across the world, and into new markets where the need for genuine community food infrastructure is urgent and unmet.
The table is set. There is a place for everyone who is serious about building something extraordinary.
